SELECT YOUR CAMPAIGN TYPE

This year, Giving Tuesday is November 28.  Donors are more likely to give if there’s a specific goal in mind. What is the focus of your school’s campaign?  Raise funds for a specific project, encourage first time donors, or exceed a dollar amount within a specific period of time?   Encourage any or all of the following:

  • First Time Donors
  • One-time gifts
  • Recurring donation options
  • Peer-to-peer donations (for example, grade or classroom goals)

HAVE AN ONLINE DONATION INFRASTRUCTURE READY 

  • Campaign page
  • Online donation page
  • Team and peer-to-peer fundraiser pages
  • Thank you messages for donors

ENCOURAGE PARTNERS AND SPONSORS

  • Get ahead of the game by connecting with partners for this year or next
  • Secure matching partnerships for the day of Giving Tuesday and/or other times
  • Approach local media (newspapers, TV news, radio) for promotion
  • Notify and appeal to schools, churches, and community groups for support

IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE
